*Christmas Day

Like the fancy editing? Thank you, you wonderful iPhone.
I can't wait to learn a few things from this book!
These kissing dogs are one of the cutest gifts I've ever seen!
A picture of our house from the back - it was a beautiful day today so my family took a nice long walk around the golf course.
The DELICIOUS carrot cake my mom made! (It was Paula Deen's recipe so you know it was about 90% sugar and butter).

Santa, you outdid yourself this year. What with the bountiful presents under the tree and the Christmas cheer you brought to my family today, I couldn't have asked for more! Just like every year, this Christmas was wonderfully enjoyable with my family. Let me tell you, waking up at 7 in the morning and running down the stairs with my sister NEVER gets old.

Santa was exceptionally good to me this year by bringing me the iPhone 4s along with many other goodies! My family was also treated very well with some great stuff. One of my favorite gifts was two kissing dogs my mom got for Andy and I, so cute!

I hope you had a very blessed Christmas and enjoyed your day!

*Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! At this moment, my family and I are sitting in the living room watching Elf-one of my favorite Christmas movies!
I hope you are all having a great Christmas and that Santa treats you well tomorrow!

*Spring 2012

Donna Karan

Hello all! Hope you are having a wonderful holiday break. I apologize for the lack of posts this past week....I've been so busy shopping for clothes that I haven't had the time to take pictures of them!

I know it might seem far, far away, but Spring 2012 lines have been popping up at a rapid pace. Here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!

*Wish List 1

[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Hello all! I'm back home in MO and have been having a great time shopping with my mom and relaxing at home. Here is a list of a few of the items I'm hoping Santa will bring me on the 25th!

*Lazy Sundays

Wearing my favorite socks wrapped up in my favorite blanket watching my (almost) favorite movie. Life is good.

One of the simple things I love in life is having time to waste. No commitments and nothing demanding on my To-Do list…those are times that are rare but wonderful.

Today, with my only final out of the way and nothing but a dumb enlightening philosophy project to finish for Tuesday, I took time today for some serious R&R.

Instead of doing something productive during my time off, I chose to:

1. Cuddle in my bed with my teddy bear and watch Hitch (one of my favorites)

2. Paint my nails, then halfway through decide I did a terrible job and take it all off (the definition of counterproductive)

3. Watch the latest episodes of Parks and Recreation and Modern Family

4. Curl my hair (Why? I felt like it)

5. Re-read Glamour

6. Go to Wal-Mart with Julia and buy some delicious carrots and hummus

And lastly, and most importantly, I celebrated my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY with my wonderful boyfriend Andy! We called each other at 12am last night so we could wish each other a Happy Anniversary :) (queue the “awwwww”)

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and caring boyfriend and can’t wait for the future years we spend together! <3

I believe that in every woman's wardrobe there should be one LBD. Or two. Or maybe four. Anywho - my wonderful roommate Julia let me borrow this dress for today's post - it was SO comfortable and I couldn't stop swirling in it! (There are many, many more swirling pictures).

For Christmas I asked Santa for an LBD similar to this one. Urban Outfitters has some fantastic LBDs...they would be perfect for a holiday party or NYE!

I just discovered this shirt hiding in my closet the entire time I've been at Elon! It's one of those items that seems to never go away . . . can you believe I've had it since 9th grade?!

It was ........ for band. Yep-I wore this shirt almost every band concert through high school. Ahhh, the memories. I was one of the snazziest looking' flautists out there if I do say so myself...

Love thinking of memories like those!

I used a skinny belt from J.Crew to turn into a bracelet (Similar to this one by Tory Burch - but for a lot less!

My new boots came in today! I had been waiting forever to find the perfect pair of dark brown boots and just happened across this wonderful pair on macys.com on Cyber Monday! (Therefore, double-win, I got a big discount!)

These boots are perfect for the quickly approaching winter weather. The match almost every outfit possible and therefore will be very hard to not wear every day…

Anyways, yesterday was my LAST day of classes for the fall!!! I could not be more excited. Especially because I was extremely lucky to only have one final and one final project. So this next week won’t be too stressful for me as I wait to go home (which means I can play around on Photoshop in the Communications building which I have been dying to do!).

P.S - funny story: Julia and I found this car in a secluded parking lot behind the Dining Hall and thought it would be perfect for the shoot! Except for the fact that we were caught red handed (and me sitting on the trunk) by the owner as he was leaving. One of the most awkward moments of my life. ("You....you have a nice car! We had to take pics of it!! BYE!")

Sorry for squinting to the max, it was a little sunny in my eyes!

How….how…is it that I don’t even have to wear a coat on the 2nd of December? Mother Nature has been playing tricks on me this entire fall and I’m about to admit defeat. She changes her mind every day…now don’t get me wrong I love the fact that it’s about 62 degrees here and I don’t have to wear a coat outside but come on! I need a little consistency here!!!

I guess I will just have to have my fall/winter clothes at the ready on any given day. Not much of a sacrifice, I admit.

Anyways, today marks the second day of December and my 3rd-last day of the semester!! Things have been absolutely crazy here – students are packed like sardines in the library and the common room where I usually work has been full of studious kids. Although everyone is stressing about finals next week, this sunny weather has definitely kept a few people sane (including myself!).

On another note, today my TA asked if I wanted to be a model for our school newspaper (The Pendulum)’s 5-page spread on fashion trends. I was thrilled when I was asked – a few other “models” and I got together today to have our pictures taken for the spread. I wore a gold sequin dress for the “New Year’s Eve style” section and a mint-green maxi dress and lace top for the “Pastels” section. It was so much fun getting to take pictures for the newspaper!

Hopefully I can get my hands on those pictures so you all can see them :)

I hope you all are planning to have a wonderful weekend. Much love!
